The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in                    collaboration with Public Health England (PHE) has published new            draft guidance for consultation on:  • preventing uptake of smoking  • promoting quitting  • treating…

This new draft guidance will provide a single source for tobacco guidance that updates and replaces previous pieces of guidance from NICE on tobacco (PH5, PH14, PH23, PH26, PH39, PH45, PH48, NG92). 

The consultation closes on 6th August 2021. 

Also out for consultation is the questionnaire content for the 2023 Smoking, drinking and drug use among young people in England survey. 

The 2023 Survey is moving to an online mode and the the current questionnaire length now needs to be reduced to make the survey viable for schools. NHS Digital are consulting on which topics to prioritise, including adding, removing or changing questions.
